Carolyne Hadden
Founder & CEO

Carolyne entered the permanent placement industry in 1992 when she joined a well-established Nashville recruiting firm which specialized in the permanent placement of qualified office professionals. With dedication, contacts and determination, Carolyne broke almost every record the company had ever set. On most occasions, Carolyne was the top producer, not only for the recruiting firm, but also in the State of Tennessee. From 1992 to 1999 she consistently won the Top Producer award from the Tennessee Association of Personnel Consultants. Carolyne left the recruiting firm in 1999 to start her own company. Following The Hadden Group's first year in business, it was nominated for the Small Business Award by its clients and was recognized as the finalist by the Nashville Business Journal. The Hadden Group also won a Top Producer award for the office support category, Rookie of the Year, and three Million Dollar Circle awards from the Tennessee Association of Personnel Consultants. Carolyne has been in Nashville since 1973 and has 2 children; one who attends the University of Alabama & the other who attends Ensworth High School. Carolyne loves to read, cook, paint, & entertain her friends & family. Her children, art, travel, friends, cooking and the written Word are her passions.

Laura Oberg
VP of Operations / Executive Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Specialist

Laura Oberg, a graduate of Auburn University, joined The Hadden Group in February 2017. She relocated to Nashville from the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area in June 2016. Being a native of the beautiful eastern shore of Mobile Bay (Fairhope, Alabama), Laura was happy to return to her southern roots and get closer to home. She began her career in sales and marketing with the Kraft Foods Company. While working for Kraft, Laura was accountable for over $20 million in annual sales encompassing the entire General Foods USA product line. After working her way up to Senior Account Manager, she was recruited away by the Buena Vista Home Entertainment division of Walt Disney Studios. At BVHE, Laura was responsible for the management and the implementation of all video, DVD and Interactive game releases for Walt Disney Pictures, Touchtone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Miramax and Dimension Films for the Southeastern market area (AL, FL, MS, GA and SC). Her client base included entertainment distributors, large grocery and drug chains, specialty accounts, home-shopping networks and video franchises. At The Hadden Group, Laura specializes in the sourcing, screening and recruiting of talent in the fields of construction, architecture, interior design, property management and office support. She is also responsible for increasing the firm’s paperless effort with the development of our new Smart Waiver online application. Laura and her husband Chris live in Brentwood and are the parents of three children (Griffin, Hayden and Mallie). When she isn’t working or attending her children’s activities, Laura enjoys spending time with her friends, traveling and watching her beloved Auburn Tigers!

Lisa McComb
Senior Recruiting Consultant

Lisa joined The Hadden Group in September 2017 and brings over a decade of recruiting experience from Chicago, Nashville and New York City. A native of Nashville, Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a double major in Communications and French. She spent the first decade of her career in the film and television industries in Nashville, Paris, France and New York City. Among her early career highlights were working for the Late Show with David Letterman and conducting celebrity interviews on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Lisa transitioned to a career in Human Resources at the American Embassy in Paris, France. After living in Paris for 10 years, she relocated to Chicago and excelled as an Executive Recruiter with one of the nation’s leading staffing firms. With over a decade in corporate and agency recruiting, her areas of expertise are in Financial Services, Sales and Marketing, Healthcare, Human Resources, Administrative Support and Insurance. Lisa and her husband Paul moved to Nashville from Chicago in 2007 and they are the parents of two boys, Andrew and Leo. Lisa enjoys socializing, entertaining, running, traveling and documenting life through photos and journaling. She is fueled by relationships and is most proud of her lifelong friendships and her family. She is an eternal optimist, speaks fluent French and loves Champagne.

Alison Carpenter
Executive Recruiter

Alison is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, but has called Nashville home since 2012. After graduating at the top of her class from University of Montevallo with a degree in Retail Merchandising and Business, Alison worked in sales before making the move to Nashville. Inspired by the growth and opportunity a city like Nashville presented, she then decided to return to school, earning her MBA from Lipscomb University in the Fall of 2016. Graduating with honors, Alison also earned a place in the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society, which celebrates high academic achievement in graduate and doctoral programs. Upon graduation, Alison was offered the opportunity to be part of the physician recruitment team at Steward Health Care, formerly known as Iasis Healthcare, based in Franklin, Tennessee. During her time there, she was responsible for recruiting across several states throughout the U.S., with a heavy emphasis in the Texas and Utah regions. Alison was also directly responsible for the creation of marketing and advertising campaigns within her department as well as lead designer and content writer for all departmental newsletters. At the Hadden Group, Alison’s area of expertise is in sourcing and recruiting for our Healthcare, Accounting, and Finance clients. Alison currently lives in Franklin with her husband, Lee, and their daughter, Ava. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and doing anything that utilizes her creative side. As an avid fan of live music, Alison is on a mission to check off as many musicians from her bucket list that her husband will allow. Powered by coffee, wine, and dry shampoo, but in no particular order.

Stuart Elizabeth Smith
Office Manager

Stuart Elizabeth is a University of Tennessee graduate, with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation and Sports Management. She is a Nashville native and joined our firm as the Office Manager in August of 2017. Stuart Elizabeth is responsible for all administrative tasks in addition to the daily operations and management of all office systems. She executes the coordination and scheduling of all client and candidate screenings. This task entails the customization and utilization of the company’s database. Outside of work, Stuart Elizabeth enjoys living an active lifestyle and is currently training to become a Certified Pilates Instructor.

Marshall Roberts
Business Development

Marshall, a Nashville native, specializes in Healthcare, IT and Financial. He graduated, with honors, from the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and minor in entrepreneurship. He then took a job with an outdoor education company called, Moondance Adventures, an adventure based traveling camp for teens. He taught wilderness survival skills as well as hard and soft skills such as scuba diving, white water rafting, leadership, and how to safely travel abroad. Having all 4 parents in the healthcare profession made choosing an industry a rather simple choice. While in college, Marshall interned at his father’s company, Verus Healthcare. This opportunity gave him many insights into the industry as well as the chance to forge some significant contacts. Marshall’s experience and knowledge enable him to successfully recruit top talent within the healthcare industry. When Marshall is not working you will find him listening to books on tape or hiking in a park, or both! Other than that, he enjoys learning just about anything he can and traveling. So far this year he has traveled over 35,000 miles and read 80 books.

Hayden Oberg
Junior Recruiter/Sourcing Specialist

Hayden is one of the newest additions to our team. A student at Samford University, Hayden assists us with many of our day to day activities and office operations; including data entry, website maintenance and the sourcing of candidates.

Thompson Hadden
Talent Sourcer

Thompson has literally grownup in the recruiting business. Thompson is a graduate of Ensworth High School and currently attends The University of Alabama. Thompson assists The Hadden Group with sourcing and identifying quality talent on a part time and seasonal basis. Thompson plans to work full time as a Junior Recruiter when he graduates from college.
